About

Hanawaza Rui is the quietest and most considerate (in my opinion) member of the F4 from Anime/manga Hana Yori Dango. He is unlike the other members of the group, who are bullies and/or playboys (particularly in the beginning of the series), and prefers to keep to himself rather than be in the company of others. His sweet and gentle nature is what attracted Makino Tsukushi, and he always seemed to hang around the fire escape of their school, seeking peace and quiet.

One of the things about Rui which made me fall in love with him was his violin playing. His way of expressing emotions through his instrument touched me greatly, especially because his introverted and sensitive nature seemed to allow him a stronger connection to music. All in all, I find him a wonderful character with a beautifully complex personality, both allowing and impinging on his abilities to develop relationships with others.
